Break

Breaks at one end as builds at the other,

The way we walk, take a different path,

The courage to disobey the ban is insignificant,

Steady ends are broken again and again built up.

How much does Rajni understand who is spent in despair,

একপ্রান্তে  ভাঙে যেমন অপরপ্রান্তে গড়ে,
যে পথে চলি, ভিন্ন পথে ঘুরে,
নিষেধাজ্ঞা অমান্য সাহস কি যৎসামান্য,
অবিচল অবসানে বারবার ভাঙে  বারবার গড়ে।

নিরাশায় কাটানো রজনী কে কতোটা বোঝে,
কে আপন? কে পর!
বন্ধনী হলো মন, পর কি কখনো করে আপন?
একপাশে ভাঙে যেমন আরেকপ্রান্তে গড়ে।
কাঁদবে যখন বানের জলে ;ভাসবে কিভাবে বলো,
ডিঙ্গি নৌকা দু'ধারে হলে মাঝে কে-বা পড়ে।

হাজার রজনী ভোর হয় প্রতিদিন উদ্ভাসে আঁকি মুখ;
স্বপ্নবিলীন সারথি কোথাও গড়ে
এক মহাজনম সম্মুখে ব্যথা ভরা বুকে রাত নিঝুম।

দারস্থ হয়ে মরি মরি;সয়ে যায় যতো যাতনা।
কুকুর থাকে প্রভুর পায়ে, মানুষ কি তা পারে?
একপাশে ভাঙে যেমন অপরপ্রান্তে গড়ে।
